Everybody I'd meet, through the bar, restaurants, whatever jobs I've had, they would be like, "Oh my god! Your dad owns the video store."
It was either, "Oh my god, he's so cool!" or, "Oh my god, I hate him, he ripped me off."
A lot of people didn't understand Dad's business model, but it made a lot of sense. The way Dad explained how he was successful, he compared it to selling drugs. "You gotta buy it for cheap and turn around and make a profit off of it. You can't buy it for what it's worth."
